I’m not a politician. In fact, I’ve never run for office before, but I’ve worked in public service my whole career. I’m tired of our PSC giving breaks to wealthy corporations while our working families foot the bill.  rolling over instead of fighting for regular people. When I saw that the incumbent Republican Commissioner for PSC4, Jennifer Fielder, was running unopposed in her re-election, I decided to step forward as an Independent voice to ensure the people of our district get the representation wethey deserve.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in public service, and I understand how complex rules and regulations affect local people. I’ve always paid attention to the details so that I can understand and influence the big picture. I’m ready to take the knowledge and skills I’ve gained from these experiences and put them to use for my neighbors. I’m ready to make sure that at least one member of our PSC is doing their job, fighting to cut power bills for regular Montanans instead of cutting deals for Northwestern Energy.

Our Public Service Commission (PSC) was created to safeguard consumers against monopoly powers and guarantee Montanans a reliable energy supply now and into the future.

Instead of safeguarding us against monopolies, the Public Service Commission rubber-stamped a 28% rate hike for consumers - giving Northwestern Energy another $100 million from our paychecks.

And, instead of planning for the future, the PSC has rejected common sense, cost-saving measures to improve our energy infrastructure.

Our current Public Service Commissioners has NOT been doing their job!

JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN

I want to get involved by:

This campaign has been a grassroots effort from the start.  To qualify for the November ballot, over 158 people from Lincoln County to Ravalli County gathering 6,763 signatures.

This incredible - and humbling - support demonstrates that Western Montanans are ready for a new voice on the commission.

Now that we’ve qualified, we start a new phase of the campaign - and I need your support once again to knock doors, raise money, and share information about my candidacy with your friends & neighbors!

The district, redrawn by the legislatures in 2023, is the westernmost district in Montana stretching from just north of Hamiliton all the way to the border of Canada. It includes all of Lincoln and Mineral counties and parts of Flathead, Lake, Sanders, Ravalli, and Missoula counties.

Do you live in
PSC District 4?

Meet Elena

Elena is a geologist, a working mother, and an Independent candidate to represent working Montanans for Montana’s Public Service Commission District 4.

Through her career as a public servant, she's developed a unique understanding of how complex rules and regulations affect local people. Working with farmers and ranchers as the Executive Director of the Montana Association of Conservation Districts, she became attuned to the impact of technology and markets on hard-working families. With an eye toward the future, she now works with the Frenchtown Community to clean up a contaminated site.

Elena is ready to use her knowledge, experience, and skills on the Public Service Commission to cut costs for regular Montanans instead of cutting deals for Northwestern Energy.
